Chris M. Lankford
I am constantly inspired in my work by the community that surrounds me, and I believe that community is directly inspired by its built environment. As a designer, I feel it is my duty to serve society by helping to create a more positive, well considered community through architecture.
Upon completing my education at the University of Arkansas, I immediately followed my instinct to serve my community by joining the School of Architecture Design-Build team with the goal of creating an affordable house for a family with low income while also rethinking the modular method of construction to create a more innovative design. This conjunction of ideological and practical construction experience provided me with a solid launching point, and I carried this knowledge with me to the small office of Spann Architecture in Rogers, Arkansas. While working at Spann for 5 years, I was involved in all aspects of the design and construction administration processes. As a community service oriented firm, I worked on a wide range of projects from the smallest A.D.A. compliance remodels and additions to tenant infills, fire stations, libraries, and airplane hangars. This wide range of work has given me the experience necessary to see a project go from start to finish successfully.
Since joining the modus team, I have had the opportunity to continue working on a variety of project types, while remaining focused on my desire to foster a healthy community through good design.
