modus headquarters earns LEED Platinum certification.

Jan 08, 2018

The modus home base at 15 N. Church Avenue in Fayetteville, Arkansas, which also houses Specialized Real Estate Group and Crown Barbershop, has earned the prestigious LEED Platinum seal, the highest level of green building certification awarded by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). Our building was the only project in the state to receive LEED Platinum certification in 2017! Thank you to everyone that made this achievement possible.

Crafted from the “old bones” of a former electrical warehouse, the 15 Church building was purchased by modus studio and our friends at Specialized Real Estate Group in 2011 and has been transformed into a series of modern and sustainable offices with a new second level apartment. Fayetteville is seriously lacking in good old building stock, so when one comes along you have to take advantage of it. The new space stays true to its industrial heritage –it’s open, modern, and clean. It represents who we are as a firm and gives us an atmosphere in which to expand the ideas of a collaborative studio into a truly open office. We saw the opportunity in the 15 Church renovation to not only revitalize a piece of the city in which we live, but also to play a greater role in the artistic community.
