Omar Ibarra

fabricator

Omar was born in Durango, Mexico, one of the country's most rural areas. Known for the beautiful Sierra Madre Occidental and a deadly scorpion population, it's a vastly different landscape than the Ozarks of Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he primarily grew up. Omar's passion for welding grew from an agriculture class, eventually leading him to take welding courses at Northwest Technical Institute while still a senior in high school. While at NTI, Omar met an inspiring instructor who encouraged him to continue pursuing this interest.

Omar is a naturally curious and enthusiastic maker, making him an essential member of the modus shop fabrication team. He takes great care in creating pieces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, skillfully capturing the interest of anyone experiencing them.

In his free time, Omar enjoys cycling, exercising at the gym, and spending time with his friends. He is an eager learner, currently perfecting his guitar skills and learning how to cruise on a longboard.
