a black tie parti.

When you imagine an architect, do you immediately picture the stereotypical look from old photos with a room full of people (let's be honest, sadly, it was all men) leaning over their desks with T-squares and triangles? The crisp white shirts, skinny black ties, and thick-rimmed glasses? As architects and designers ourselves, we often picture the more modern icons with their all-black ensembles, like Rem Koolhaas, Zaha Hadid, and Jean Nouvel. But even some of the most well-known architects of our time have their roots in the white shirt and black tie look.

Just for fun this week, a few people from the modus team decided to wear the old architect uniform and pay their respects to the chief builders of yore. We may not get them back in their old clothes.
