construction underway at moxy hotel.
Aug 27, 2024
The stair towers and first-floor framing are now complete at the upcoming Moxy Hotel at South Yard. Installation of the upper-level walls will begin soon, using a prefabricated panelized wall system. The board-formed concrete remnants of the original Farmers Cooperative building are being repurposed into the first-floor lobby, check-in area, bar, and lounge spaces. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
Moxy is a 7-story, 131-room hotel — a collaboration between Specialized Real Estate Group and Beechwood Pinnacle Hotels. Working closely with our interior design partners at Flick Mars, our team has created a design aesthetic that incorporates contextual elements of the surrounding industrial spaces into a stylish and contemporary setting that embodies the playful spirit of the Moxy brand.
At South Yard, our team has expertly navigated the complexities and challenges of a multi-phased, mixed-use, adaptive reuse project. Formerly the site of Farmers Cooperative, South Yard now represents a $78 million investment, transforming the area into a vibrant hub that includes 128 apartments, diverse dining options, small offices, and the soon-to-open Moxy Hotel. With a focus on walkability and neighborhood connectivity, South Yard is a welcomed extension of the Cultural Arts Corridor in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
