This afternoon, modus studio principal architect Chris Baribeau will be a keynote speaker at the American Institute of Architects Iowa Chapter Conference in Des Moines. His presentation will demonstrate examples of our design process at modus and share new ways of thinking about placemaking and building construction, including the incorporation of mass timber and other unique building materials and systems.

This year's AIA Iowa Conference theme is "Congruence" and is a call for purposeful engagement and implementation, analyzing how architects' thinking translates to what they say and do — both as an industry and as individuals.
