To fund the good work of their charitable organization, CASA of Northwest Arkansas hosts a yearly Playhouse Palooza where local architects are paired with local builders to design and build a children’s playhouse to be auctioned at the annual affair. All proceeds benefit abused and neglected children in our community by providing them with trained volunteer supporters known as Case Appointed Special Advocates. The eco.fort won the People’s Choice Award at the Palooza auction event and pulled the highest bid.

The eco.fort is an educational prototype intending to share simple lessons of sustainability while supporting the humanitarian efforts of the organization. Solar orientation, rainwater collection, photovoltaic energy, natural vegetation and passive cooling are all built-in examples of green thinking for the children that will inhabit this playhouse. Also, it’s pretty cool.

The eco.fort provides shady porches, interior hideouts and boasts a rooftop deck. Around, in, and above...the eco.fort is a machine for fun.
