Miller Matlock, Assoc. AIA
Miller Matlock is an architectural designer at Modus. Miller believes architecture to be both a trade and an art. As such, he approaches each new project with a passion for making spaces which are both beautiful and functional. He finds immense interest in the line between the practical and the experiential, and finds his favorite spaces often merge these qualifiers into a precise blend.
Though not always aware of architecture is his early education, Miller became interested in design towards the end of his highschool career. This ultimately led him to apply, attend, and eventually graduate from the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design in 2020 with honors, and one or two awards under his belt.
Miller officially joined Modus in 2020, though his history with Modus began with two internships in the summers of his third and fourth year. He was drawn not just to Modus’ drive to make good design to better the lives of people, but also their consciousness towards making an office culture which was both driven and balanced.
In his free time, Miller enjoys art making, cycling, running, and working on speculative design projects. He lives and works remotely in Dallas, Texas, with his wife.
