Laura A. Ramirez, Assoc. AIA

designer

Laura is originally from the Dominican Republic and was introduced to the world of construction by her father who is an engineer. Growing up solving problems and making art was a part of her everyday life. Laura slowly fell in love with envisioning and creating environments and knew she wanted to be an architect. She came to the United States to chase this dream and attended Drury University, where in 2018 she graduated with a Masters in Architecture.

She believes that good design comes by understanding the conditions of society, context, and the environment, which comes from experience, extensive design process and research. With this understanding, we can create environments that are truly designed for people. Laura believes this is what makes good design, designing for today’s needs while being mindful of the changes of tomorrow.

In her free time, Laura enjoys experimenting with cooking and baking to share with her friends, tackling abstract paintings and going on walks with her dog.
