The Construction Administrator will work under the supervision of the project architect/manager and principal-in-charge to review design documentation, facilitate research and detailing conversation with architects and designers, and directly engage with construction teams to ensure projects are built and perform properly.
Major Responsibilities Include:
▸Assisting architects and designers with the creation of adequate specifications.
▸Facilitating project detailing focusing on the exceptional performance of building envelopes.
▸Supporting project managers and architects working on active construction projects to produce field reports and to observe overall construction for conformance to the contract documents.
▸Documenting construction status using traditional and drone photography/videography.
▸Aiding in punch lists on construction projects and increasing overall quality control.
▸Communicating and coordinating closely with the entire team (owner/architect/contractor) during active construction projects.
▸Attendance at on-site construction project meetings will be required and the Design Manager will keep accurate meeting minutes.
▸The above responsibilities include frequent travel to modus project sites local, regionally and nationally.
▸Post-secondary education in architecture or construction management and related fields
▸Minimum of five (5) years of applicable work experience in the architectural construction administration and/or construction management disciplines.
▸Experience in mixed-use and multifamily housing is preferred.
▸Excellent computer skills, including project management software/trackers, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, or similar programs, calendar management, and general data entry/management tools. ▸Autodesk Revit experience is required in order to navigate design models, extensive Revit modeling experience is not required.
▸Strong written and verbal communication skills.
▸Strong interpersonal skills needed to facilitate positive and professional interaction with all clients, contractors, and designers.
▸Must enjoy working in a collaborative, inclusive, and design-focused environment.
▸Ideal candidates will have a deep interest in material research, can combine creative thinking with an eye for craft in making, and be driven to elevate the human experience in the built environment.
